A set of 4 fully restored Carimate chairs previously owned by the iconic fashion designer Mary Quant. Not only are these chairs shown in imagery online of Mary in her home but they also feature in the 2022 Sadie Frost documentary ‘Quant’. Sold by Lumsdens Auction House on behalf of Marys son following her passing in 2023 they came to us in very poor condition bleached of colour and needing significant repair. Our master craftsman has carefully pulled the frames back together and restored them in our signature style matched to the originals, staining the beech wood frames and finishing them in a clear satin lacquer. The seats have been professionally re-rushed.
