From its beginnings in a workshop on the Mornington Peninsula, Australia in 1971, Don Sheil began as a silversmith. For years he had played around with metals and after exhaustive testing, he found that high purity aluminium had the properties he needed to implement his ideas so that the alloy could be etched, spun, beaten, polished and anodised to achieve a quality finish. Still in existence today the family Company has never lost sight of his original vision of making hand made pieces of unique, functional tableware. No two items will ever be exactly the same.
